Why did the entire neighborhood flood with the heavy rains?
I talked to one of my neighbors who said that he walked over to the new pumping station on 14th Avenue on the east side of the golf course during the flooding. He said that the pumping station was silent. He then called the City of Hollywood and they said that it was working just fine.
My wife spoke with the UPS deliver man who had just delivered a package to the Marina. He said that he had just spoken with one of the City of Hollywood employees from the Department of Public Utilities about the flooding. The employee gave the UPS delivery man some ridiculous answer like, "Oh yeah...the pump here at the marina is not working. It has been broken for a while and we are waiting on parts to repair the damn thing."
In the mean time, many of our homes sustained flood damage. Do we have legitimate complaint for a class suit?
This blog has been created for Lakes residents in Hollywood, Florida to voice their opinions and concerns about excessive vehicular volume, speeding, stopsign running, and the construction project that is making a bad situation even worse. Hopefully our local politicians will read the concerns of the same people that voted them into office. We want action!!!
